Day late and a dollar short LOL

I'm a huge reader, I love to read, so much that my wonderful hubby got me a Kindle last year for Christmas (he says he thought I'd enjoy it, I say he's tired of looking at my book shelves over flowing, than when Half Priced Books or Hastings has a sale I hoard.....I mean get more books.

So a few years ago Twilight was ALL THE RAGE with the tweens and teens, so I thought what the hell I'll read it too. I LOVED IT!!!! I loved it so much that half way through the last and final book I put it aside and said I don't want the series to end, so if I don't finish the book it won't end.......yeah I'm crazy like that I guess LOL. So my friend talks a lot about audio books and how she loves them. I tried 1 or 2 times, I'm just not crazy about them. It almost feels like cheating in a way. But I decided what the hell, I need something to listen to in the car, I hate the radio, they overplay EVERYTHING!!!! So I decided to download the Twilight audio book. I'm hooked!!!! I love it (I think it's the person who's reading it)

I always seem to find the "cool" stuff after it's not cool anymore..........sigh................oh well.

So..........

Well I'm going through a blog phase. I've been reading dearmommybrain.com (hey I know her, and she's pretty funny) and she has people commenting on her posts, which is cool because most of them have blogs also, so I'll click on the link. If I find it interesting enough I'll stalk.....uh like I totally mean like, them on facebook. There's some GREAT blogs out there. What are some of your favorite blogs?

So I don't get it........yet

So the owner of  Dearmommybrain.com told me about this site called pintrest.com. Apparently you need an invite to join, so I facebook messaged her, and she sent me one. I DON'T GET IT!!! But dammit I'm going to figure it out if it kills me. It's colorful and new......perfect :)

It's been awhile huh?

I haven't blogged since what March? I've been on a blog kick lately, and I've found some pretty cool ones, I wonder if I can share them here.

A few months ago I had posted that I wanted to lose roughly 30 lbs (which would get my to my pre pregnancy weight from cough15yearsagocough), and I did some half ass attempts at it, but now I'm FULL ON in weight loss mode. I joined WW meetings, and in 3 weeks, I'm down about 7 lbs. I'm hoping in the next 2 weeks I'll hit my 5% lost. My reward is going to be a mani/pedi and eye brow waxing (Thank you Groupon), than when I hit my 10% lost (I'm giving myself til Thanksgiving, but I'm hoping to hit it sooner), I'm going to get this fancy ass facial thing (again thank you Groupon).

One a recent trip to OK, I tried Zumba. If you haven't tried it you MUST!!! It was SO much fun, think dancing but looking oh so sexy (well not me, because I'm not coordinated enough to dance, I am truly a white girl LOL, but it's fun, and I go with friends, and we all look like idiots, but we laugh and have fun so who cares right LOL). Well 3 weeks ago I went to the Dr because my foot was hurting like shit, and after x-rays, I learned I had a big ol' heel spur (Dr's words, not mine LOL), and I was grounded to NO ZUMBA!!! I was (and still am DYING without it!). Went back to the Dr today, and guess what??? Grounded for another 2 weeks AT LEAST!!! At this point I'm seriously going insane without it. But I am able to still workout, but the list of stuff I'm allowed to do is short, (walk, but no tread, swim and bike, yep that's it), I'd be really mad if I paid for a gym membership, but since I'll just sulk that I can't use my tread.

So anyways.........

I've been talking about weight loss a lot, so now I think it's time to talk about something else that I enjoy, READING!!!!!!

I'm so into cozy mysteries right now it's insane!!! Last week I read 3 books! That's a lot for me LOL. I read Donut Shop mystery series (well all that's out right now), and yes I'm such a nerd, I put all the release dates for the new books I want that are coming out in my phone for reminder alerts LOL

Interested or committed?

I stole this from a message board I frequent

If you're "Interested" in losing weight...
... You stick with it only until something better comes along (such as doughnuts)
... How you feel determines your outcome. If you don't 'feel like it', you stop your efforts.
... You need to see results. When the scale doesn't move, you lose your motivation.
... You blame everything else (people, travel, circumstances) for your struggles with staying on program.
... Whenever you face challenges in life, you give up and plan you'll start your program again tomorrow.

~~HOWEVER:

If you're "Committed" to losing weight...
... Nothing stops your efforts. You stick with your program, "no matter what."
... Emotions don't control your actions. You stay on track even when you don't feel like it.
... Your motivation isn't linked to the scale. You assume that if you stay motivated and work hard, you'll eventually see results.
... You don't depend on other people for your success. You know it's up to you, not them.
... A bad day or a lot of challenges don't affect your efforts. You keep going in spite of it.

** So which one are you? "Interested or Committed"??

YEAH!!! I have my first follower

I was on the message boards that I frequent often. It makes me feel more accountable to myself, and if I'm tempted to "cheat" on my diet I go there and it USUALLY helps.

So tonight I went to the message board (because my Sat nights are oh so thrilling LOL, which is great, I'm not a party girl AT ALL, I'd rather go to Chili's and chill with a few friends, having a few drinks, than be at a bar where I have to scream to be heard), and a member of the message board asked if anyone had blogs, so I posted a link to mine, and now she's following me. I have my own personal stalker LOL (it's all good, I'm just being a smart ass, the more followers the better).
